The Parthenon Frieze. Block S XVIII

This block preserves what appears to be the lower parts of three horses’ legs, the right leg of horseman (48) showing part of his chiton over his knee, and a completely broken part of the horseman (49) who is the leader of the eighth group and spreads over onto the adjoining block XIX.
