The Parthenon Frieze. Block W IV

Shown here are a pair of horsemen galloping their horses toward the left. One is bearded (8) and clad similarly to horseman (15) on block VIII in exomis, chlamys, and a fox-skin cap on his head. The younger man (7) wears an anatomical cuirasss over a short chiton, like the rider (3) on block II.
